June 2009  In the most recent GfK data¹ for the mobile phone market, Samsung Electronics iconic 
Samsung F480 has been confirmed as the number one selling phone in Australia. Launched in 
November 2008, the F480 has been growing in popularity, with this months results proving that the 
combination of a stylish design and accessible features have appealed to Australians.

success of the handset, Since its launch, the F480 has proven to be a favourite among consumers 
and were very excited to see how well its doing in a strong and competitive market.  
 
The success of the F480 alongside the renowned Samsung OMNIA and newly launched Samsung 
UltraTOUCH cements our leadership position in the touch segment and we anticipate this to continue 
through the year with the imminent arrival of our second half 2009 range to be announced at 
CommunicAsia on June 16th. This range includes a number of touch phones which will appeal to 
different consumers ensuring theres a touch phone for every lifestyle.  
 
Worldwide, the Samsung F480 has sold in excess of six million units. Both the global and local 
success can be attributed to Samsungs advanced technology. It is intuitive and easy to use, packed 
full of the latest features including a 5 megapixel camera, high speed internet access and MP3 player, 
all in a compact and stylish body.  It is available in three colours  ice silver, coral pink and topaz gold 
and available with all carriers; so its attractive and accessible to everyone. 
 
The success of the iconic F480 moves Samsung a step closer to its goal of being the number one 
mobile phone brand in Australia by end 2010.
