A new era of marine research in Northern Australia will be
formalised with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on
Monday 09 November.
It will be signed in the presence of the Federal Minister for
Innovation, Industry, Science and Research, Senator Kim Carr.
All media are invited to the announcement of the MOU between
Australian Institute of Marine Science (AIMS); Charles Darwin
University; The Australian National University and the Northern
Territory Government.
The MOU will be signed at 12noon at the Arafura Timor
Research Facility, 23 Ellengowan Drive, Brinkin.
Senator Kim Carr and AIMS CEO Dr Ian Poiner will be available
for media interviews immediately after the signing of the MOU.
