Global Mobile Selects Bridgewater for WiMAX

Bridgewater Systems (TSX: BWC), the mobile personalization company, today announced that Global Mobile,
Taiwan's leading 4G operator, is deploying the Bridgewater(R) Service Controller and Policy Controller to
deliver mobile multimedia services to consumers and enterprises. The solutions are being delivered in
collaboration with CommVerge Solutions, a leading network services company in the Asia Pacific region.

- Global Mobile is deploying Bridgewater's market leading WiMAX(TM)
solutions in the northern region of Taiwan to deliver services such
as mobile Internet, mobile TV, interactive media services, digital
audio, and mobile advertising. The company plans to launch commercial
services in the Hsinchu area before the end of 2009, and extend
coverage to the Taipei area in 2010.
- Bridgewater's WiMAX solutions are enabling Global Mobile to:
- Rapidly launch services through over-the-air provisioning of
subscribers, devices, and on-demand service models. This gives
subscribers the freedom to activate their subscription at their
own convenience and select plan features and applications without
having to visit a store or call customer service.
- Deliver innovative, personalized services including casual usage
based on time or volume such as day passes for a new application,
prepaid services, and applications that can be personalized based
on the subscriber's location, context or usage.
- Reduce operating costs by eliminating the need for customer
service representatives to manually activate service, devices and
firmware updates.
- The market leading Bridgewater Service Controller authorizes and
authenticates subscribers and provides critical accounting functions.
It is fully compliant with the WiMAX Network Working Group Stage 3
specification.
- The Bridgewater Policy Controller is a policy decision function that
provides real-time network, application and subscriber policies to
personalize services and manage mobile data growth. It also enables
over the air provisioning and on-demand services.
- Bridgewater's Subscriber Data Broker is a sophisticated subscriber
data management product that unifies subscriber information including
service entitlements, devices, networks, billing profiles,
preferences and context, and provides the tools to broker this data
to systems and applications.
