Telenet Upgrades to Acision's Next Generation Messaging Platform With Latest Voice Messaging

Services

READING, Nov. 24 /PRNewswire-AsiaNet/ --

    - Next Generation Messaging Architecture to Support Advanced Voice

Messaging and Future Unified Communication Applications

Acision, the world's leading messaging company, today announced that

Telenet, the market leader for Belgium's residential broadband, telephone and

TV services, is upgrading its legacy Voicemail platform to Acision's next

generation messaging architecture. This platform will allow Telenet to reduce

the total cost of ownership of its Voicemail solution, as well as deliver

Converged Messaging and Voice Mail applications for Telenet's full MVNO

mobile platform.

This new advanced messaging platform is a feature rich solution that

allows Telenet the capability to provide market leading services such as

Business Voice, Unified Messaging, VoiceSMS, VoiceMMS, Visual Voicemail and

Voice to Text all within a single solution architecture. In addition, the

Acision solution will easily scale to support Telenet's plans for rapid

growth.

Globally, wireless operators are seeking ways to provide subscribers with

compelling services to increase their ARPU. Voice was the original killer

application in the mobile world and, from a revenue perspective, it still is.

According to industry analyst firms, 77 per cent of global wireless revenues

come from voice services and that majority status will remain that way for

many years to come. With the Acision Advanced Messaging solution, operators

can continue to optimize their call completion cycle increasing billable

network activity and, in turn, revenue from voice.

Peter Michiels, SVP Network & Service Engineering of Telenet commented:

"For years, Acision's voicemail has serviced the needs of our fixed-line

telephony customers. Now, Acision's next generation platform will enable us

to provide additional benefits to our ever growing mobile subscriber base.

The advanced voice messaging functionality will enable our customers to

communicate in new ways and increase our service stickiness."

Tony Morrish, SVP and GM, Europe and Russia of Acision said: "The

deployment of Acision Voice Messaging Platform at Telenet is not only

endorsement of the strength of our voicemail offering but also marks the

continuation of an already solid relationship between the two companies. The

flexibility of our platform means it can be scaled to meet the needs of

service providers of all sizes and can be expanded to meet subscriber growth

at minimal cost."

Acision is also providing Telenet with upgrades to the voicemail software

and hardware platforms, as well as all implementation, integration,

maintenance and support services, making it the sole contractor for the new

solution.
