ALLRECIPES.COM.AU IS THE SOURCE FOR YOUR SAUCE AND OTHER

CHRISTMAS RECIPES THIS YEAR.

In a little over a year since its launch,

http://www.allrecipes.com.au has established itself as the “go

to” site for recipes, and with Christmas on the way, it’s more

important than ever to know there’s a trusted recipe source

(or even sauce) for all your needs. And so much better to know

the recipes are from your peers, other home cooks, rather than

untested but pretty creations from the latest celebrity chef!

The popularity of Allrecipes.com.au has grown so much (to

third highest ranking food site in Australia) that the site

has now developed new web 2.0 site features to accommodate

Australia’s love of social networking sites.

From connecting with and following cooks they like, to posting

virtual messages to online friends on their fridge—even to

giving them a “nudge” to post more photos or recipes—and

learning about their favorite brands, Allrecipes members can

interact with each other in fun and friendly ways that are

part of the site’s innovative social media features. Now you

can make friends, watch your favourite cooks, follow your

favourite brands, and post messages to your friends’ virtual

fridges.

Review of 2.0 Features:

Friends

o

After accepting a request to become friends,

members can post messages directly to other cooks

to share how much they enjoyed a recipe, or even

send them a ‘nudge’ to post more photos. Once

connected, friends will be alerted when their

friends add a new recipe, photo, comment, rating or

tweak.

Fridge

o

Messages can be posted on members’ fridges once

they become virtual friends, which will be

available for all home cooks to read on the cook’s

profile page.

Cookwatch

o

For members who want to keep track of their

favorite cooks, this feature sends them an alert

when the favorite cook posts new comments, tweaks,

photos or adds more great recipes.

their favorite brands.
