The Successful 6-day China Hi-tech Fair 2009 Ends


SHENZHEN, Nov. 27 /PRNewswire-Asia-AsiaNet/ --


    At 16:00 on November 21st, the successful 6-day China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF) 2009 ended. The closing

ceremony was held in the multi-functional pavilion of Hall 5 of the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibiton Centre

(SZCEC), hosted by Ren Zhiwu, deputy director of the Department of High-tech Industry of the National

Development and Reform Commission of the PRC. Wang Rong, director of the CHTF Organizing Committee

and acting mayor of the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government, made the closing speech and declared

the end of the fair. During the closing ceremony, Xu Qin, vice director and secretary general of the CHTF

Organizing Committee, as well as First Deputy Mayor of the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government,

announced the awards for excellent organizations, excellent products and excellent exhibitions for this CHTF

and the leaders on the chairman platform granted the awards to the award-winning organizations. 




    More than 106 delegations, 3,000 exhibitors, 1,800 investors and 15,000 projects from 49 countries and

regions were attracted to the exhibition, and conducted transactions and negotiations at CHTF 2009. As many

as 506,000 visitors attended the fair, and the popularity index was 212.5 (212.5 visitors per booth in one day).

More than 200 domestic and foreign news media and nearly 1,300 reporters covered the happenings of CHTF

2009. More than 16 domestic and foreign minister-level officials attended the Ministerial Forum, and

furthermore several high-level Chinese and foreign government officials and multinational CEOs participated

in special events promoting business and capital attraction as well as international economic and technical

exchange. Such activities as the Hi-tech Human and Intellectual Resources Exchange, a plaque-awarding and

honoring ceremony for the establishment of national innovation capabilities, the press conference on the

status of patents in the IT industry and a series of ceremonies for the release, production and initialization of

the newest high-end scientific and technological projects made this round of CHTF splendid. 


    CHTF 2010 will be held in Shenzhen next November 16th-21st. The CHTF will continue to promote

scientific development, constantly improve its international, professional and market-oriented approach and

strive towards its goal of holding one of the top hi-tech fairs in the world.
