TOP TEN UPCOMING GAME RELEASES
The last half of 2009 is about to see some really exciting games come onto the market with
publishers releasing sequels to some of the most popular games of all time. If the release of
Call of Duty Modern Warfare is anything to go by, the highly anticipated sequel developed by
Infinityward Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is going to go crazy.
We are very excited about the remainder of 2009 there are some huge titles being released,
the first half of the year certainly had some Quality new releases including Sims 3,
Infamous, Street Fighter IV and Prototype which is now being backed up by an even
stronger second half line up of quality titles said Mr Chad Polley, Marketing Manager,
Gametraders.
We expect the range of and quality of these upcoming titles to have broad appeal and will
certainly help drive sales across the industry he said.

XBOX 360 - Halo 3 ODST
The year is 2552. Covenant forces control the city of New Mombasa. The introduction of an

escape the embattled city. Get Ready for Halo 3 ODST.
Multi Format - Fifa 10
FIFA 10 will be the next instalment of Electronic Arts' FIFA series of football video games.
Developed by EA Canada, FIFA 10 is published by Electronic Arts worldwide under the EA
Sports label. To be released October, 2009.
Multi Format - Assassins Creed 2
Assassin's Creed II is an upcoming third person action-adventure video game developed by
Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. The sequel to Assassin's Creed, it is set to be
released in PAL regions on November 20, 2009 on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and
Xbox 360.
PC - Starcraft 2
StarCraft II is a trilogy of military science fiction real-time strategy video games currently
under development by Blizzard Entertainment as a sequel to the award-winning 1998 video
game StarCraft. StarCraft II, consisting of the base game and two subsequent expansion sets,
entitled Wings of Liberty, Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void respectively.
Multi Format - Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Call of Duty is an award winning first-person shooter video game series franchise. The series
began on the PC, and later expanded to consoles and handhelds, and several spin-off games
have also been released alongside the main series. The majority of the games in the series
have been set in World War II, with the exception of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and
Modern Warfare 2, which are set in modern times.
The Call of Duty video games are published by Activision and Aspyr Media and have been
developed primarily by Infinity Ward and Treyarch.
Multi Format - DJ Hero
DJ Hero is a music video game developed by FreeStyleGames and published by Activision.
It is set to be released on October 27, 2009 in North America and Australia.
DJ Hero will primarily simulate Turntablism, and will feature score attack gameplay similar
to the Guitar Hero games. The controller will consist of a wireless deck consisting of a
movable Turntable that supports 3 "stream" buttons, an effects dial, a crossfader, and a
"Euphoria" button; a hidden panel will contain additional controller buttons to interact with
the gaming console outside of the game. A portion of the controller can be detached and
reattached to adapt the unit for left-handed players
Wii - New Super Mario Bros
New Super Mario Bros. Wii is a side-scrolling platform video game being published and
developed by Nintendo for the Wii video game console and is the sequel to New Super Mario
Bros. for the Nintendo DS. The game was announced at Nintendo's press conference at
Electronic Entertainment Expo 2009, and is slated for release late 2009. It will be the first
game in the Mario Bros. series to feature simultaneous multiplayer gameplay in normal
levels since the original Mario Bros.
XBOX 360 Forza Motorsport 3
Forza Motorsport 3 is an upcoming racing simulator video game currently in development by
Turn 10 Studios. The game is due for release in October 2009 on Xbox 360. It is the sequel
to Forza Motorsport 2 and the third instalment in the Forza Motorsport series.
Forza Motorsport 3 will include over 400 fully customizable cars from 50 manufacturers and
over 100 tracks. New additions to the game include an in-car driving view, a perfect line to
follow, one button assisted driving, vehicle rollover, and for the first time in the series, trucks
and SUVs. Also included will be the ability to create in-game videos and upload them to the
Forza Motorsport website. Forza Motorsport 3 will be shipped in two discs, but can be
played completely off the first.
Multi Format Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympics
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, is an announced sports game in development
by Sega. It will be published by Nintendo for Japan and by Sega for North America and
Europe. The game is officially licensed by the International Olympic Committee (IOC)
through exclusive licensee International Sports Multimedia. The game is the third official
crossover title to feature characters from both Mario and Sonic's respective universes. It will
be released on the Nintendo Wii and the Nintendo DS handheld in late 2009, and is the first
official video game of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.
PSP Final Fantasy Dissidia
Final Fantasy, Dissidia is an action game developed and published by Square Enix for the
PlayStation Portable as part of the campaign of the Final Fantasy series 20th anniversary.
Information on the game was first released during the "Square Enix Party" event of May
2007. The game features characters from different Final Fantasy games and centres around a
great conflict between the heroes and villains, as the god of discord, Chaos, tries to wrest
control of their worlds from the forces of good. It will be released in Australia on September
3, 2009
