Valimo and Telenor Sweden to Collaborate for Mobile Authentication Technology

Valimo, global market leader in mobile ID solutions has been selected by
Telenor Sweden to provide technology for their mobile signature services in
Sweden. Valimo Mobile ID enables Telenor's customers a convenient and secure
login to online services using their mobile phone for authentication and
digital signing.
Mobile signatures can be used in any service requiring strong
authentication, identification or a legally binding signature. Need for new
authentication solutions like Mobile ID in the Nordic region is rapidly
growing as governments, public sector and financial institutions are
increasingly offering online and mobile channels to access their services.
These new services require more secure and user-friendly authentication
methods such as Valimo Mobile ID.
Telenor Sweden is the third largest mobile operator in Sweden based on
number of subscriptions, with a market share of 18 percent and 1.9 million
mobile subscribers. Telenor Sweden will run a pre-production phase of Mobile
ID service powered by Valimo during 2009. Valimo Mobile ID enables a safe and
reliable digital authentication that replaces various password and code
lists. When using an online service requiring authentication or digital
signing, the request is sent to the user's mobile phone using secured SMS
technology. The message pops up on the phone screen, asking the user to
confirm his or her identity or approval by entering his or her personal PIN
code.

authentication and signature technology enables. New services are becoming
available across Europe. It is already possible to use bank services,
withdraw money from ATMs, do online shopping and mobile payments and
authenticate safely to databases and enterprise networks with Valimo Mobile
ID technology. Now all this is technology will be available for majority of

Valimo Mobile ID is based on Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), with the
unique private key stored in a tamper-proof area of the SIM card, and used
with a four to six digit PIN code when prompted. Valimo solutions are used by
