DLNA to Exhibit at CEATEC Japan 2009

    What:    The Digital Living Network Alliance(TM) (DLNA) is showcasing the power of digital home

networking at CEATEC Japan.  DLNA members will exhibit their latest products and participate in a

demonstration illustrating the possibilities created by true digital living. These demonstrations will highlight the

multi-vendor interoperability enabled by DLNA.  With thousands of certified products, DLNA is moving ever

closer to realizing its vision of empowering an 

interoperable network of CE, PC and mobile devices for use  in and beyond the home. Specific DLNA

activities at CEATEC include:

    

    Keynote Speech - Oct. 9, 3:30-4:30 p.m.

    DLNA representatives will provide an incisive look at the organization's continued expansion into the mobile

space. Featured speakers include:

    

        - Mr. Minobu Abe, Team Leader, Platform Development Center, Panasonic Corporation

        - Mr. Hirotaka Mori, Executive Product Manager, Consumer Windows Business Group Consumer &

Online Marketing, Microsoft Corporation

    

    

    DLNA Exhibition - Oct. 6 - 10, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

    See demonstrations from the following DLNA members first-hand:

    

    - Allegro Software - Allegro will demonstrate products for each of the main DLNA device classes that use

the Allegrom DLNA Technology Components. The exhibit will show the RDMS202, a universal DMS capable

of streaming all DLNA approved media formats; the RDMC101, a reference Digital Media Control Point

(DMC); and a certified Digital Media Adapter device with DMP/DMR capabilities that plays audio and image

streams.

    - AlphaSystems - AlphaSystems will exhibit Digital Media Server "ADMS1503" and Mobile Digital Media

Player "Media Link Player". ADMS1503 supports DTCP-IP Link Protection Protocol which achieves secured

digital content streaming and move/copy functions. Media Link Player is an application which runs on iPhone

3GS/iPod touch and it's available at Apple AppStore for free. We demonstrate interoperability between

ADMS1503 and Media Link Player or other DLNA products by using digital content files.

    - Cloakware - Cloakware will present its software base security hardening tool, "Cloakware Security Suite,"

and hardened DRM solution, "Cloakware Robustness Solution," at DLNA booth in CEATEC 2009. Special

focus to DTCP-IP DRM robustness, which is adoptable for DLNA base CE device manufactures. Cloakware

DRM solution is also available for Marlin, /PlayReady, such industry standard DRMs.

    - DigiOn, Inc. - DigiOn will be exhibiting DTCP-IP enabled DiXiM products (DMS, DMP, DMR, and DMC). In

addition to our in-house products, we will also perform interoperability demonstrations with other companies'

DTCP- enabled products. For reference, a DTCP-IP enabled DMS that works as a Windows 7 Media Center

add-in and "DiXiM Digital TV plus," a Windows application operable as a DTCP-IP enabled DMR, will be

exhibited as well.

    - Hitachi - Hitachi will demonstrate player and server function of HDTV with a built-in HDD recorder, 03

series and UT800 series. The player function supports playback of Music, Photos, Videos which include

recorded digital TV (ISDB-T) programs. The server function supports network transmission of recorded digital

TV programs.

    - Panasonic - Panasonic will demonstrate content playback over network from Blu-ray Disc Recorder (DMS)

to HD TV and Portable Blu-ray Disc Player (DMP). Blu-ray Disc recorder/player and HD TV have DTCP-IP

capability for protecting the content over network. These products enable enjoyment recorded broadcast

content from different rooms within the home.

    - Rovi - Rovi Corporation is focused on revolutionizing the digital entertainment landscape. We will be

demonstrating our Connected Platform for consumer electronics, which enables them to share and play back

media from other devices, PCs and the Internet. Our interoperability demo will include a DMC controlling a

DMS compatible with DTCP-IP and DMR.
