Maipu Global Telecom Summit 2008 Closes in Chengdu, China

After the Global Seminars in New Delhi and Mumbai with 10 stations in total, the Global Telecom Summit,
hosted by Maipu Communication, as a conclusion event of the Maipu Global Seminar, was held yesterday at
Crowne Plaza Hotel Chengdu.
The conference attracted high-level operators from 23 countries and regions all over the world, including
America, Russia, Brazil, Malaysia, Bolivia, and Egypt. Leaders of Sichuan province, the premier of Sri Lanka,
general manager of Sichuan Mobile, as well as CEOs and chief managers of well-known companies such as
American STM attended the conference.
The conference, themed "New World, New Choice", commenced with a speech given by the leaders of
Sichuan province. The conference went smoothly, with guests enthusiastically discussing new choices in the
telecom industry in the new world.
The speech given by premier of Sri Lanka mentioned that since Maipu entered into Sri Lanka in 2006, the
cost-effective and high stability of the products, as well as the good services, were gradually winning the
recognition of Sri Lanka operators. The premier also expressed gratitude to Maipu for the convenience
brought to the Sri Lanka people and that the country would look forward to further co-operation with Maipu.
The Global Telecom Summit successfully ended at 6 pm. on Oct. 28, with Maipu signing Strategic
Cooperation Memorandum with operators such as STM. The success of the conference shows the overall
strength and influence of Maipu to the world and also proves that communication device providers in China
have the capability to become partners of operators all over the world.
